This is an easy recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala – chicken marinated in yogurt and simple spice. Can be cooked or grilled in the conventional oven or in the pan. I have use only the skinless meat of thighs and leg part, not the breast. Breast meat cooks more faster as there are chances it gets overcooked and becomes hard. Also i prefer to go for a pan fried method because it is way more faster than the oven when you make it in less quantity. It is also cooks the chicken well retaining its moisture. But i leave it to you to chose your preferred method of doing it.
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Marinate time: At-least 1 hour
- Cook Time: 20 to 10 mins
- Serves: 2 to 3
Ingredients needed:
- Boneless chicken thighs / Legs – 750gms
- Thick curd – 2 to 3 tsp
- Kashmiri red chili – 2
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Ginger – 1 inch piece
- Garlic – 2 pods
Note:
- I dont prefer to use any food colors; So i used kashmiri red chili along with the red chili powder. If you want you can use food color and omit K.red chili
- All the masala powders can be added more or less as you wish
