Chicken Tikka recipe in Two methods – Low Carb recipe for Keto / Paleo

This is an easy recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala – chicken marinated in yogurt and simple spice. Can be cooked or grilled in the conventional oven or in the pan. I have use only the skinless meat of thighs and leg part, not the breast. Breast meat cooks more faster as there are chances it gets overcooked and becomes hard. Also i prefer to go for a pan fried method because it is way more faster than the oven when you make it in less quantity. It is also cooks the chicken well retaining its moisture. But i leave it to you to chose your preferred method of doing it.


  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Marinate time: At-least 1 hour
  • Cook Time: 20 to  10 mins
  • Serves: 2 to 3

Ingredients needed: 

  • Boneless chicken thighs / Legs  – 750gms
  • Thick curd – 2 to 3 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chili – 2
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece
  • Garlic – 2 pods




  • I dont prefer to use any food colors; So i used kashmiri red chili along with the red chili powder. If you want you can use food color and omit chili
  • All the masala powders can be added more or less as you wish
