How to Crochet Spider:
Ch – chain
Sc – Single crochet
Yo – Yarn over
Sl st – slip stitch
Body:
R1: Magic ring of 6
R2: 2 SC in each round (12)
R3: (SC in next, 2 SC in next) X 6 (18)
R4: (SC , SC, 2 SC in next) X 6 (24)
R5: 2SC in next 2, SC in next 10, 2SC in next 2, SC in next 10 = 28
R6 To R7. SC in each st around = 28
R8: SC2tog, SC in next 10, SC2tog X 2, SC in next 10, SC2tog = 24
R9: (SC in next 2 , SC2tog ) X 6 = 18
R10: (SC , SC2tog ) X 6 = 12
R11: SC2tog X 6 = 6
Close the gap using needle from inside out, through all the outside loops of the 6 stitches clockwise. Pull the tail and close the gap. Sew the end.
Head:
R1: Magic ring of 5
R2: 2 SC in eac st around = 10
R3 – R4: SC in each st around = 10
Leave tail for sewing
Legs: (Make 8)
R1: Magic ring of 4
R2 – R11: SC each st around = 4
Leave long tail for sewing. If you are using worsted weight yarn , then leg should be flexible enough to bend the legs as required. Optionally you can also insert pipe cleaner inside it to stretch the paws.
Jaws:
Ch of 2 , in 2nd ch from hook sl st. Leave both tails long enough for sewing
Assembling the spider:
First finish the spider face by attaching jaws and sewing the eyes. You can also use any old beads for eyes
Now attach head to the body
Attach legs opposite to each other around the body
