  • Prep Time: less than 10 mins
  • Cook Time: 10 mins
  • Serves: 2 -3

Ingredients needed:

  • Cooked rice – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour – 1 cup
  • Curd – 1/4 cup
  • Salt as required
  • Baking soda – a pinch
  • Water – 1 to 1 1/2 cups or required
  • Oil – to roast dosa

Method:

  • Blend together cooked rice, wheat flour, rice flour, salt, water as needed to a smooth paste
  • Transfer it to a mixing bowl; add a pinch of baking soda, curd. mix well and get to dosa batter consistency. add more water to adjust consistency.
  • Instant Dosa batter is ready now.
  • Heat the griddle / Dosa pan; sprinkle some oil and wipe off with a tissue/cotton cloth.
  • Once it is hot, pour a ladleful of batter and spread out; add some oil on top of the dosa; cook them covered for a minute or till it turns golden brown and crisp.

Serve hot with chutney or sambar.

Notes:

  • You can also make uttapam ; pour dosa batter bit thick and add some toppings of onion and grated carrots.
  • Baking powder is optional
  • Sour curs make dosa very soft
