I was amazed with this name. More than this recipe I am keen to know to why they named it. Where is this coming from. Why bullet proof? so many questions in my mind. Basically, I am not a big fan of coffee. But my husband is a coffee lover. He was not ready to sacrifice his coffee for any kind of diet. So i read through a lot about it.
Though, Bulletproof coffee is the heart and soul of Ketogenic diets, I was little worried about having it alone for breakfast. I have been reading through a lot and some suggest it as an alternative for breakfast. Well, I don’t agree to this completely. This coffee cannot be a substitute for breakfast. Because I am very strict to have healthy and nutritious breakfast. So, I am ok to have this along with breakfast. (calculate your macros).
Also I don’t prefer to have this daily. Because my digestive system cannot handle a whole bunch of fat at a time. Rather I would just take a sip of it when I am making this to my husband. Even for him, this will be mostly on Sunday when we have our brunch directly. I am not advertising or encouraging you to consume this coffee daily. Always consider your body function and your health conditions before trying out a new diet or recipe like this. Also please consult with your physician for any questions and clarifications.

- Prep time – less than 10 mins
- Serves – 1
- Coffee powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coconut oil – 1 Tbsp.
- Butter – 1 Tbsp.
- Heavy cream – 1 Tbsp (Optional)
- Boil half a tsp coffee powder in 1 cup water.
- Add coconut oil, butter and prepared coffee in a blender
- Blend all the ingredients for almost 30 seconds to 1 minute to mix well.
- Serve it in a serving cup
- I tried making this with tea for me. yeah, it tastes good too
