This is a delicious pasta dish with Broccoli and rich white sauce.Whenever we are bored with our regular routine, take a small break or diversion from your routine and boost yourself. Similarly when we are bored of our regular food routine, sit back for a while and make this white sauce pasta in less than 20 minutes and enjoy with smile on our face and taste buds. 

Pasta is actually the dough that is made with wheat flour and water, sometimes mixed with eggs, but it is just the starting point as many different shapes are made after drying this dough. Macaroni is one shape that looks like an elbow, is 3-5 inches in length and is a hollow cylindrical tube.

So you can use any kind of pasta (any shape) as you wish. All we need to do is 1) cook pasta 2) cook broccoli 3) Prepare white sauce 4) Mix all together 5) Enjoy it hot 🙂

  • Prep time – 10 mins
  • Cook time – less than 20 mins
  • Serves – 2


Ingredients needed:

  • Macaroni shells – 1/2 cup or Any pasta of your choice
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to cook
  • Pepper to taste
  • Broccoli – 1/2 cup (Optional)

For white sauce:

  • Butter – 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic – 3 pods Crushed /Minced
  • Chopped onions (Optional)
  • Mixed herbs or Italian seasoning – 1/2 tsp
  • Maida / All-purpose flour – 1 tsp
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Cheese – Slices or grated


To make macaroni:

  • Boil water in a pan
  • Add macaroni shells and salt; but not mushy
  • Similarly cook and drain the broccoli florets Let it cook until it is soft

To make white sauce:

  • Take a sauce pan, add butter, garlic, seasoning herbs, Maida (all-purpose flour) and milk.
  • Add cheese slices or grated cheese to thicken the sauce and keep stirring it.
  • Add boiled macaroni and Broccoli florets to the white sauce and mix it well.
  • Finally season it with pepper and gently mix it.

Delicious Macaroni with white sauce is ready to taste!


  • You can any pasta of your choice
  • To make it more nutritious, boil small pieces veggies like peas, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots to it along with macaroni
